Pakistan’s ex-depot petrol price rose by Rs3.26 per litre to Rs390.66, while high-speed diesel fell by Rs1.01 to Rs399.34, according to Business Recorder. The revised prices took effect on October 2.

The different direction of the two fuels matters because households and businesses use them in different ways. Petrol affects private transport and some delivery fleets; diesel is central to freight, buses, agriculture and backup generation.

A single adjustment will not determine the broader cost of living, but fuel moves can feed into logistics and operating budgets. Companies will be watching global oil prices and future domestic revisions when setting prices and planning routes.
